Gene Cilento, Glen Hiner Dean of the Statler College for Engineering and Mineral Resources at West Virginia University, will chair the screening committee for the next dean of the University’s College of Law.

The position, which will report to Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Joyce McConnell, is expected to be posted in mid-October and review of applications to begin in early January 2015. The new dean is expected to assume the role on July 1, 2015.

  • Shine Tu, associate professor, WVU College of Law.
  • Lynne Maxwell, associate professor, WVU College of Law.
  • Marjorie McDiarmid, professor, WVU College of Law.
  • David Krech, teaching professor, WVU College of Law.
  • William Coates, assistant dean for development, WVU College of Law.
  • Renee Sulipeck, office administrator senior, WVU College of Law.
  • Matt Finamore, president, Student Bar Association, WVU College of Law.

The new dean replaces McConnell, who was named provost in June.
