WELLWVU is encouraging students to get outdoors on Friday (Sept. 5) and try something new at West Virginia University’s “Try-It” event. The event, held from 3-7 p.m. at Hazel Ruby-McQuain Riverfront Park, will feature a variety of activities for students to experience.

Student attending will have the opportunity to participate in fitness demonstrations, cycling, kayaking, canoeing and other fun activities offered free by local vendors and the WVU Outdoor Rec Center. WVU Dining Services will provide healthy foods for students to try and tips on how to stay healthy while living on campus.

Students interested in renting equipment that day should bring their WVU ID.

For more information about the Try-It event, contact Rebecca Olsavsky at rrolsavsky@mail.wvu.edu.
