The West Virginia University Graduate and Professional School Fair will be held Wednesday, Sept. 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Mountainlair Ballroom. More than 70 programs and universities will be on hand to talk to students considering graduate or professional education.

“Many students already know that their future is going to include graduate school, but at this point they just don’t know where or what area of study,” said Tracey Sheetz, director of WVU’s Office of Graduate Admissions and Recruitment. “This fair can really help students explore many options.”

Representatives from various WVU graduate programs will be on hand, as well as representatives from other universities. WVU currently offers more than 130 graduate and professional programs. Attendees can register to win prizes, including six WVU graduate application fee waivers, WVU t-shirts and a gift basket donated by the WVU Bookstore.

There will also be an information session “How to Apply + Pay for Grad School” from 1-1:30 p.m. in the Mountaineer Room of the Mountainlair.

“The application process can seem overwhelming to many students, so our goal is to offer tips on how to best present yourself as a potential graduate student,” Sheetz said. “We also want to share information on the various ways you can fund graduate education.”

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit http://grad.wvu.edu/fair.
