WVU President Gordon Gee welcomes students back with 'Gee Mail'

In a welcome back message for West Virginia University students beginning the 2014 fall semester, President Gordon Gee tells you about his summer and takes questions from students -- a la David Letterman-style -- in a light-hearted segment called "Gee Mail."

A new academic year is here.

Morgantown is back to experiencing the daily hustle and bustle of a robust college town. Fall weather and football are just around the corner. And a new freshman class will be taking those important first steps toward achieving the American dream of a college education.

West Virginia University President Gordon Gee is here to welcome everyone back – or to welcome you for the first time – to this beautiful campus we call home.

In his welcome back message, Gee tells you about his summer – and takes questions from students—a la David Letterman-style—in a light-hearted segment called ‘Gee Mail.”

Doesn’t he know that Letterman already found a replacement?

More importantly, Gee shares a heartfelt message with the Mountaineer community as we all enter a new academic year: Work hard, study hard, and don’t forget to have a little fun along the way.
