WVU President Gee's 55-county tour hits the heartland of West Virginia

In two days, President Gordon Gee tackled seven counties - Doddridge, Tyler, Pleasants, Wood, Wirt, Jackson and Ritchie - in addition to a heifer judging contest on the latest leg of his 55-county tour.

The Jackson County Fair. The Sistersville Ferry. Berdine’s Five and Dime Store – “America’s oldest.”

These are among the gems recently toured by West Virginia University President Gordon Gee on his 55-county trek through the state.

In two days, Gee tackled seven counties – Doddridge, Tyler, Pleasants, Wood, Wirt, Jackson and Ritchie – in addition to a heifer judging contest.
