West Virginia University alumni and fans have been talking for months about the matchup between the Mountaineers and the Crimson Tide of Alabama on August 30 in the 2014 Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game in Atlanta, Ga. In an effort to fill the stadium with seas of gold and blue, the WVU Alumni Association is offering fans the opportunity to be a part of this unique football opportunity.

The Association, in partnership with Prime Sport, will offer two packages for fans interested in traveling to the Peach State for the game. The first package is a deluxe motor coach package leaving from Morgantown on Friday, Aug. 29, and returning on Sunday, Aug. 31. The motor coach package includes roundtrip transportation to and from Morgantown with stops in Clarksburg and Charleston, W.Va., and boxed meal/snacks; two nights’ accommodations at Renaissance Waverly Hotel; admission to the official Mountaineer pre-game event at Georgia World Congress Center; transportation to and from the game on Saturday (Aug. 30); lanyard and game souvenir; and all taxes/gratuities. (A minimum number of participants is required for this trip to operate.)

Alumni and fans also will be able to take advantage of a two-night, land-only package at the Renaissance Waverly. This package includes two nights’ accommodations (Aug. 29 and Aug. 30) at Renaissance Waverly Hotel; admission to the official Mountaineer pre-game event at Georgia World Congress Center; game souvenir and lanyard; transportation to and from the game on Saturday (Aug. 30); and all taxes/gratuities.

“Mountaineer fans are really excited about the opportunity to watch some terrific football in a great city,” said Steve Douglas, president and CEO, WVU Alumni Association. “The location is perfect for travel and will offer a wealth of things for visitors to see and enjoy. When we traveled to Atlanta for the Sugar Bowl, we turned the city into a sea of gold, and we hope to do that again this year.”

Alumni, friends and fans are encouraged to register for the travel package by visiting http://www.wvusportstravel.com or by calling 1-888-373-5067.

Fans may also take part in the official Mountaineer pre-game event at Georgia World Congress Center, as well as other activities planned by the Association and the Peach State Chapter, by visiting http://www.wvuatlantakickoff.com/.
