Student clubs of West Virginia University College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences will sponsor a blood drive on Jan. 24 in the Coliseum.

Students from CPASS athletic training, sports and exercise psychology, sports management, athletic coaching education and physical education teacher education clubs will host the blood drive in the Jerry West Lounge at the Coliseum from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“This is the third year that our club has hosted the drive. We hope the event will raise awareness of the need for local blood donations,” explained Brett Sigley, WVU Athletic Training club president. The club scheduled the event in conjunction with the American Red Cross National Blood Donor Month. The club has set a goal of at least 40 donors for the blood drive.

Volunteers can sign up online to donate blood via http://redcrossblood.org. The blood drive is open to the public. Click here to schedule your donation.
