Inspired by actual events, Memphis the musical tells the story of a radio DJ who wants to change the world and a club singer who is ready for her big break amidst the prejudice of the ‘50s. Memphis bursts off the stage with explosive dancing, irresistible songs and a thrilling tale of fame and forbidden love.

This nationally touring production exudes all the exuberance, the emotion, the beauty, and the controversy of a wondrous, defining time in our history. This production tackles social change, the trappings of love and the hazards of fame all in one soul-stirring production. With a book written by the acclaimed Joe DiPietro (“I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change”) and a score composed by Bon Jovi founding member David Bryan, Memphis packs a punch that doesn’t give up.

Memphis has been greeted with critical acclaim and adoring crowds across the country, starting with a three-year Broadway run followed by a highly successful 55 city national tour. The Associated Press called this production “the very essence of what a Broadway musical should be,” and audiences are sure to agree. Memphis won four Tony Awards (including Best Musical) and three Drama Desk Awards in its first year, including “Best Musical” and “Outstanding Musical,” respectively. Come along on their incredible journey to the ends of the airwaves — filled with laughter, soaring emotion and roof-raising rock ‘n’ roll.
