West Virginia University’s Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity will hold a bell-ringing ceremony Friday (Aug. 30) in remembrance of three students who died over the summer.

The service will begin at noon at Oglebay Plaza on WVU’s Downtown Campus, and those interested in attending are asked to be there by 11:45 a.m.

The students being honored are:

  • Stephen Abbott, an incoming freshman pre-athletic training major from Sewell, N.J., who died on May 12.
  • Rachel Robinson, a sophomore animal and nutritional sciences major from Augusta, W.Va., who died on July 21.
  • Jennifer Livingston, a doctoral student in music from Morgantown, who died on July 22.

Family, friends and members of the University community are welcome to attend Friday’s ceremony.

Individuals who would like to speak should contact Zachary Paitsel, memorial bell-ringing chair, at zmpaitsel@mix.wvu.edu.
