West Virginia University parents will have a chance to experience the lives of a college student this weekend as part of Spring Family Weekend.

This weekend (April 12-14), parents can tour campus, work out at the Student Recreation Center, attend concerts, visit Coopers Rock State Forest, experience their first WVUp All Night or even go to class with their student.

“We’re aware that most parents and family members enjoy visiting their student in his or her campus environment,” said Vice President for WVU Student Affairs Ken Gray. “As a result, the Mountaineer Parents Club works hard to host a family weekend in the spring and fall. It is always my pleasure to invite parents to attend this fun and exciting annual event.”

A list of events this weekend for parents and their students to attend can be found at http://parentsclub.wvu.edu/spring_weekend/schedule.

“Spring Family Weekend continues to offer parents and student an enjoyable and memorable WVU experience,” said Sabrina Cave, Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs Communications. “Throughout Spring Family Weekend, parents will be able to enjoy all that WVU has to offer.”
