West Virginia University’s annual Week of Honors begins on Friday (April 5). Each year, the University spends a week each spring honoring its best and brightest faculty, staff and students. This year it’s from April 5-14.

Monday, April 8
Celebration of Student Honors – 6 p.m., The Erickson Alumni Center

Thursday, April 11
Evening of Honors for Faculty and Staff – 6 p.m., Nutting Hall (Blaney House, Home of the President)
The recipients of the following awards will be recognized at this invitation-only dinner event: Nick Evans Advising Awards, Heebink Service Awards, Benedum Research Scholars, Neil S. Speech Pathology and Audiology Honors Ceremony – noon to 3 p.m., Evansdale Residential Complex Ballroom
In conjunction with WVU Week of Honors, the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology will host its annual Senior Awards Ceremony. Families are invited to attend the Towers event where seniors will be recognized for academic achievements. Saturday, April 13
Eberly College of Arts & Sciences Awards and Honors Recognition Ceremony and Luncheon – 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., The Erickson Alumni Center – Grand Hall
The outstanding achievements of students, faculty and staff of the Eberly College of Arts & Sciences during the academic year will be recognized at this special ceremony. Recognitions include the 2012-13 Eberly Scholars and recipients of Eberly’s endowed scholarships for the 2012-13 academic year. A luncheon will be served immediately following the program. Sunday, April 14
Spring Ring Day Ceremony – 1 p.m., The Erickson Alumni Center
Ring Day is held each spring and fall to present those students who have attained junior status with their WVU class rings and to share the moment with family and friends. Each recipient’s name is penned into the Ring Day Book, a historical record of those who have received the official class ring. Reservations for participants and guests are required.
