Ansari quickly established himself in the comedy world as an all-around entertainer. He first made his mark on television with MTV’s sketch comedy series “Human Giant.” The series is based around short films starring Ansari, along with Rob Huebel and Paul Scheer. Many of their sketches have become Internet favorites. Ansari has also guest-starred in comedies “Flight of the Conchords” and “Scrubs.”

In 2010, he released an hour-long standup special on Comedy Central, “Intimate Moments for a Sensual Evening.” The special was incredibly successful and remains on the iTunes comedy best-seller list. Ansari has also become a regular on the late-night circuit with recent memorable appearances on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” “Conan,” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” In 2012, he was nominated for an NAACP Image Award for his work as Tom Haverford in “Parks and Recreation.” His second standup release, “Dangerously Delicious,” was recorded from his 2012 tour of the same name.

Entertainment Weekly has named Ansari one of the “Future Stars of Comedy” and Paste Magazine named him one of the “Top 10 Comedians of the Decade.” The Hollywood Reporter said that he “has become one of the most prolific writers and performers on the comedy scene in recent years,” while Rolling Stone recently labeled him “the comic of the moment.”
