WVU professor available to comment on meteor that injured hundreds, asteroid passing close to earth

A West Virginia University professor is available to offer commentary on the meteor shower that injured hundreds in Russia on Friday, (Feb. 15). Also on the same day, asteroid 2012 DA14 made a close flyby of Earth.
WVU professor Loren Anderson, of the Department of Physics, is available to comment on these events. His research focuses on Galactic HII regions, zones of ionized gas that surround young, massive stars.
