West Virginia University Press, a member of the Association of American University Presses, is celebrating the first “University Press Week” during Nov. 11-17.

University Press Week highlights the extraordinary work of university presses and their many contributions to culture, the academy, and society. During University Press Week, WVU Press invites you to explore the association’s online “Fine Print” gallery, which showcases works that exemplify our community’s contributions to the preservation of history and culture, and to read the testimonials of appreciative scholars, authors, readers, and public intellectuals at www.universitypressweek.org.

Celebrating its 75th Anniversary in 2012, the Association of American University Presses’ collective mission is to support creative and reliable scholarly communication. The association is a community of more than 130 publishers that is committed to serving, informing, and educating the reading public. Association members are active across many scholarly disciplines, including the humanities, arts and sciences, and are innovators in the world of electronic publishing.
