West Virginia University is now accepting nominations for the University’s highest service honor – the Order of Vandalia.

This award is given each year to a person who has provided outstanding or distinguished service to the University over many years. It will be presented during WVU’s Alumni Weekend, scheduled for June 2013.

Nominees for the Order of Vandalia must be living and should have a strong record of providing service to the University as a layperson or as a member of the faculty or staff. WVU faculty and staff members are not eligible for induction until the year after their retirement, and no one currently serving on the WVU Board of Governors, the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission or in a political office will be inducted. Nominees should not be told they are being nominated.

Please visit the http://vandalia.wvu.edu/ or contact Amanda Burns (Amanda.Burns@mail.wvu.edu and 304-293-0784) to obtain nomination forms. Forms can be submitted online, by mail to PO Box 6677, Morgantown, WV, 26506-6677 or by fax to 304-293-4552.
