One of the leading experts in the business of sports, Rick Horrow, CEO of Horrow Sports Ventures, will be the keynote speaker for the West Virginia University College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences annual Sport Summit, Saturday, April 14. The event is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Erickson Alumni Center.

Horrow is the sports business analyst for CNN, Fox Sports, and the Fox Business Channel. He is a popular speaker, writer, and commentator on the business, law and politics of sports.

The sport management program will present the distinguished alumnus award to Whit Babcock who is director of athletics at the University of Cincinnati. Babcock received his master’s degree in sport management from WVU in 1996.

Babcock was named UC’s athletic director in 2011 after spending five years as the University of Missouri’s executive associate director of athletics.
