Twitter, one of the most used social media platforms in the world, was a key part in tracking communications during the Arab Spring uprisings that began in 2011.

So when West Virginia University hosted a panel to discuss the media events surrounding the revolts as part of the David C. Hardesty Jr. Festival of Ideas, it was only fitting that the conversation continued and was amplified by a live, simultaneous conversation on Twitter.
