West Virginia University’s College of Creative Arts will host a workshop by the U.S. Air Force Band of Flight’s ensemble group, “Nighthawk,” on Wednesday, March 14, at 5 p.m.

The workshop will be held in room 200B of the Creative Arts Center. The event is free and open to the public.

The U.S. Air Force Band of Flight provides music and entertainment for a wide variety of official military, recruiting and community events.

Nighthawk is one of the five ensembles to emerge from the Band of Flight’s concert band. The eight-member ensemble is comprised of a rhythm section, a horn section and a vocalist.

Under the direction of Master Sergeant Cameron Voorhees, this group performs a diverse program of swing music, jazz standards, contemporary jazz, Latin and funk compositions.
