The Flute Studio of West Virginia University’s College of Creative Arts is hosting a recital on Sunday, March 4.

The recital starts at 5 p.m. in the Bloch Learning and Performance Hall of the Creative Arts Center.

The event is free and open to the public.

The performance will include flute solos and ensemble works by composers such as Georg Philipp Telemann (1681-1767), Gioachino Rossini (1792-1868), Melvin Lauf (b. 1971), Arthur Honegger (1892-1955) and Ian Clarke (b. 1964).

The Flute Studio is a community of ambitious, dedicated and fun loving students who excel in both their academic and musical studies.

Members of the Flute Studio include freshmen Emily Watkins, Jessica Harris and Kristina Lipscomb; sophomores Mary Brady, Letty Shreckengost and Krista Streyle; seniors Gabrielle Bias and Jordonna Bowser; master’s degree students Amy Schatzer, Phil Bracken and Amber Pottmeyer; and doctoral student Keith Hanlon.
