WVUp All Night’s programming board will present Last Comic Standing on Friday, March 2 at 9 p.m. in the Mountainlair Food Court.

At this event, aspiring comedians of West Virginia University will compete for the title of “Last Comic Standing Champion.” This Student Affairs event will be held in conjunction with Comedy Caravan, the longest-running weekly comedy program on any college campus in the country. Comedy Caravan started on the WVU campus in 1987.

A Comedy School will be held on Feb. 23 from 1:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Mountainlair to prepare participants for the event. Students can register for a time slot or ask questions about the Comedy School by emailing WVUComedyCaravan@gmail.com. The participants of the Comedy School will transform “a blank page into a five-page set of comedy,” said Tom Sobel of TSM Artists in Nashville, Tenn.

Everyone is encouraged to come out and support their fellow students as they compete against one another in this comedic showcase. WVUp All Night will tie friendly competition and laughter together to produce an evening full of fun and excitement.

WVUp All Night is committed to providing a safe and entertaining environment for students to socialize during weekend nights.
