West Virginia University music students will perform a low brass concert at 8:15 p.m. Thursday (Nov. 3) in the Creative Arts Center’s Bloch Learning and Performance Hall (Room 200A). The event is free and open to the public.

The concert will feature student low brass ensembles, including trombone quartets, a tuba/euphonium quartet, the trombone choir, and Osteology—the trombone and rhythm section jazz ensemble.

Osteology will perform “Loon,” a composition written by senior music education major Matt Kingsbury. Other performers will include Scott Jones, Joe Jefferson, John Steadman, Kenneth Johnson, John Fitzmaurice, Aaron Pritt, Will Kichty, Anne Stickley, Reid Hartman, among others.

The concert is under the direction of music professors Keith Jackson and Brian Plitnik.
