West Virginia University’s Evansdale campus will be changing in substance and style in the coming years as a multi-year, $159.5 million building plan is put in to place.

To better help the campus and surrounding neighbors understand the changes taking place, the WVU Division of Facilities & Services will be hosting public forums to explain and show the buildings and alterations that are being proposed.

The forums will be held on Monday, Oct. 24, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. and 6-7:30 p.m. in the Art Museum of WVU Museum Education Center (formerly the Erickson Alumni Center) on the Evansdale Campus.

Some of the most far-reaching changes will be new buildings for engineering, agricultural sciences, the Art Museum of WVU, Student Health, the College of Law and the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences. Also, traffic patterns could change near the Evansdale Residential Complex and the Art Museum of WVU.

Various projects such as parking lot changes, older building demolitions, landscaping and retaining ponds are also proposed as part of the plan.
