West Virginia University will be hosting Campus Safety Day on Friday (Sept. 30) in the Mountainlair.

A viewing of “Telling Amy’s Story,” a documentary regarding domestic violence, will be shown in the Shenandoah Room starting at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. The documentary will serve as a catalyst for public discussion about domestic violence immediately following the viewing at 12:30 p.m.

Other related events as a part of Campus Safety Day include an awareness table in the Mountainlair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Drop-A-Cop and a driveWELL activity on the Mountainlair Plaza.

WELLWVU partnering with the WVU Police Department, RDVIC Women Against Rape for the event.

Domestic violence is a national epidemic, but WVU is hoping to help raise awareness and take positive steps toward prevention so the WVU community can help victims and hold abusers accountable.
