A recent West Virginia University graduate was wounded at least twice Tuesday evening in a shooting near the Papa John’s restaurant on Beechurst Avenue in Morgantown, police said.
Morgantown Police identified the victim as Marlan Joseph Robinson, who graduated in May 2010; he was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Police said a suspect in the shooting, described by witnesses as a black male, reportedly entered a dark-colored vehicle, possibly a Chrysler PT Cruiser. The car, last seen traveling south on Beechurst, was being driven by an olive-skinned male with short dark hair, witnesses said.
Morgantown Police ask anyone with information to contact the Detective Division at 304-284-7454.
