On Wednesday (April 27) Candace Rondeaux , International Crisis Group’s senior analyst based in Kabul, will visit West Virginia University. She will address the ongoing conflict and stabilization efforts in Afghanistan in a talk titled: “Afghanistan: Exit versus Engagement.”

The talk will be at 6 p.m. in the Monongahela Room of the Mountainlair. A reception featuring Afghan cuisine will follow. Rondeaux will meet with students, faculty and administrators during her visit.

Before joining ICG in 2009, Rondeaux was the Islamabad/Kabul bureau chief for “The Washington Post” and has covered criminal justice issues in Maryland and Virginia. She was part of a team of Pulitzer Prize winning reporters, photographers and editors who helped cover the Virginia Tech shootings in 2007.
