Graduation is rapidly approaching for West Virginia University seniors. What better way for them to celebrate their accomplishments than with fellow classmates as part of the Senior Send-off: A Zero-Year Reunion at their future alumni home—The Erickson Alumni Center. The event, open to all graduating seniors, will be held on Wednesday, April 27, from 5-8 p.m. in the Mountaineer Courtyard.

The event, hosted by the WVU Office of Student Affairs and the WVU Alumni Association, is a great way to reminisce and celebrate the WVU experience with friends and classmates. The reunion will feature a barbecue, beverages, great prizes (including season football/basketball tickets, T-shirts and other items), and entertainment by Jackson Monsour.

“This is an exciting opportunity for graduating seniors to come together and celebrate their time at the university before they take on their future endeavors as WVU alumni,” said Ken Gray, Vice President for Student Affairs. “We hope to see many graduates at the alumni center for this signature event.”

Not only does the reunion serve as a celebration of graduation, but it is an opportunity for seniors to see their first glimpse of life as WVU alumni.

“We look forward to welcoming this year’s senior class to their future home. The Alumni Association is proud to open its doors to our newest members of the alumni family and help them learn more about the University’s largest network – our wonderful alumni,” said Stephen L. Douglas, president and CEO, WVU Alumni Association.

This is the 12th year the event has been held. The Senior Send-off: A Zero-Year Reunion is a free event for graduating seniors. For more information, visit http://alumni.wvu.edu or contact the WVU Alumni Association at 304-293-0972.
