Critically acclaimed rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars and hit-maker Cee Lo Green will perform at the WVU Coliseum with special guest CB7 on Tuesday, April 26 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale at the Mountainlair Box Office, online at www.ticketmaster.com, or by calling 304-293-SHOW and 800-745-3000.

One of rock’s hardest working bands, Thirty Seconds to Mars started as a small family project between actor Jared Leto and his brother Shannon. The group soon picked up speed following its sophomore release A Beautiful Lie. This album was certified platinum by the RIAA later that year, and was the beginning of the band’s close relationship with its fans. The band has amassed several awards such as the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards for Best Rock Video and Video of the Year for its single The Kill, arguably the band’s most popular song. Thirty Seconds to Mars took the MTV Best Rock Video award home again in 2010 for Kings and Queens, as well as securing the Best Rock Band award at that year’s MTV Europe Music Awards. The band has also made strides internationally, performing in Europe and South Africa as well as filming the first American rock video ever shot entirely in the People’s Republic of China. The band has also won three MTV EMA’s, MTV Latin, Asia and Australia Awards, a Fuse Award, and three Kerrang! Awards. The band’s most recent album, This is War. was met with critical acclaim, certifying gold within weeks of its release and features the UK Rock Chart-topping hit Closer to the Edge.

Cee Lo Green of Atlanta, Georgia originally burst into the music scene with the southern hip-hop group Goodie Mob. He later went on to form Gnarls Barkley with DJ/producer Danger Mouse as well as developing a strong solo career. This career took off following a hiatus from recording with Gnarls Barkley that has catapulted his name to fame, specifically on the heels of his viral single F—k You! Cee Lo won a 2011 Grammy Award for this single in the Best Urban/Alternative Performance as well as having been nominated for two Brit Awards: Best International Album and Best International Male, winning the latter. Cee Lo’s latest album, 2010’s The Lady Killer, was met with positive reviews from the Los Angeles Times, with writer Margaret Wappler lauding his “glassy modernity that makes the album a sexy sonic adventure of loving and leaving.” Cee Lo will also star as a celebrity judge on the new NBC singing competition The Voice.
