West Virginia University will show “Painted Skin” on Thursday (April 7).

The film, shown as part of the Brown Bag Lunch Film and Discussion Series, is a big-budget costume epic inspired by Pu Songling’s classic “Strange Tales of Liaozhai.” It will be shown at 11:30 a.m. in the Gluck Theater.

The film will be presented by Yilin Liao, teaching assistant professor in WVU’s Department of Foreign Languages, in observance of Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month.

This event is free and open to the public. Pizza will be served on a first come, first served basis. It is sponsored by the WVU Office of Multicultural Programs-Office of International and Global Outreach.
