Works by music faculty at West Virginia University will be featured during a New Music Concert at the Creative Arts Center, Saturday (Feb. 26).

The free event begins at 8:15 p.m. in the Bloch Learning and Performance Hall (200A) and will feature new works by faculty David Taddie and John Beall.

The full program includes: the world premiere of “So Tolle” by Neil Dunn, featuring music faculty member Michael Vercelli on African xylophone; “Fantasy for Violoncello Alone” by Beall, performed by faculty member William Skidmore, cello; “Welcome to Medicare” by Mark Wingate, featuring electroacoustic playback; “Category 5 (Echoes)” for flute, violin and electroacoustic accompaniment, by Taddie, featuring music faculty members Francesca Arnone, flute, and Mikylah McTeer, violin; and “Metropolitan” by Thomas Lopez.
