West Virginia University will show “The Ernest Green Story” in honor of Black History Month.

The movie highlights the perseverance of the only African-American senior to graduate from Little Rock High School in 1957 despite hostile circumstances. It will be shown on Thursday, Feb. 10 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Gluck Theatre of the Mountainlair.

The film, part of the Brown Bag Lunch Film and Discussion Series, will be presented by Marjorie Fuller, director of the WVU Center for Black Culture and Research.

The event, sponsored by WVU’s Office of Multicultural Programs in the Office of Student Life, is free and open to the public. Pizza will be provided first-come, first-serve.
