The West Virginia University choral program’s annual Holiday Concert at the Creative Arts Center, Sunday (Dec. 5), is titled “Magnificat” and will feature the WVU Symphony Orchestra, as well as the Choral Area, in a program of seasonal favorites and new works for choir and orchestra.

The showcase work will be “Magnificat” by Jonathan Willcocks.

Conducted by Kathleen Shannon, director of the choral area, the program begins at 3:15 p.m. in the Lyell B. Clay Concert Theatre.

The concert will also feature Mandy Spivak, soprano, of the music faculty, and the WVU Flute Choir.

Tickets are $10 for the general public, $6 for WVU faculty and staff and senior citizens, and $5 for students, children and members of groups of ten or more.
