West Virginia University will show a documentary on the tumultuous life of Argentinean football phenomenon Diego Maradona.
“Maradona, The Golden Kid” will be shown on Thursday (Oct. 28) from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Gluck Theater of the Mountainlair.
The film will look at the life of Maradona, also known as “El pibe de oro” or “the golden boy.” Maradona was once voted “FIFA’s Best Football Player of the Century.”
The film, part of the Brown Bag Lunch Film and Discussion Series, will be presented by Juan Morinelly, on the occasion of Hispanic Heritage Month and Spanish Immersion Day.
Pizza will be provided first-come, first serve. The event is co-sponsored by the WVU Office of Student Life Programs, WVU Extension Service and WVU Department of Foreign Languages.
