The West Virginia University Safety and Health Extension Service is offering the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) class #7100, “Introduction to Machinery and Machine Safeguarding,” in Morgantown on Nov. 10.

The one-day course focuses on increasing the participant’s knowledge and skill in proper machine safeguarding techniques and highlights the benefits of guarding various types of machinery.

Seating is limited and preregistration is required. It is preferred that preregistration is done two weeks prior to the course start date, by Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010. Tuition per person is $225.

Customized group training sessions are also available on a contractual basis for employers wishing to train their workforce.
