The Laureate Wind Quintet, one of the premiere chamber ensembles in residence at West Virginia University, will present a recital at the Creative Arts Center at 7 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 24, in the Bloch Learning and Performance Hall (200A).

The event is free and open to the public.

Faculty members performing include Francesca Arnone, flute; Cynthia Anderson, oboe; John Weigand, clarinet; Lynn Hilemann, bassoon; and Virginia Thompson, horn.

Joining them will be Joseph Johnson, a doctoral horn major in the WVU Division of Music.

Featured on the program will be Anton Reicha’s most famous wind quintet, the E flat major, Op. 88, and Carl Reinecke’s Sextet for Winds, featuring Johnson.
