Monsters, ghosts and super heroes will soon be haunting the Coliseum parking lot in search of candy.

The WVU student chapter of the Institute of Industrial Engineers will hold its third annual Trunk-or-Treat Monday, Oct. 25 in the band parking lot of the WVU Coliseum from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Students from various organizations across the University will hand out candy from the trunks of their decorated cars to costume-clad children.

More than 900 children from throughout the community attended last year’s Trunk-or-Treat.

“IIE organizes this event to give local children a safe and central location to come out and ‘Trunk-or-Treat,’” said Daniel Norris, IIE President. “It also is a great opportunity for student organizations to get involved in the local community.”

IIE is the world’s largest professional society dedicated solely to the support of the industrial engineering profession and individuals involved with improving quality and productivity. Founded in 1948, IIE is an international, nonprofit association that provides leadership for the application, education, training, research, and development of industrial engineering.
