After several months of work by a cross-section of persons from around West Virginia University, President James P. Clements will share a proposed Strategic Plan for the Future at Monday’s annual Faculty Assembly.

The plan highlights priorities for the University and has been developed by a 40-member Strategic Planning Council with input from others across all colleges and divisions.

Clements’ address to the Faculty Senate at 3:15 p.m. at the National Research Center for Coal and Energy is open to faculty, staff, students and other constituents. The speech will also be webcast live at http://webcast.wvu.edu and will be available to WVU’s divisional campuses via teleconference.

A reception will follow the presentation, and then the Faculty Senate will reconvene for a question-and-answer session before moving on to its regular business.

The next step in the process will involve gathering responses and reaction from various groups, with the Council reconvening and developing a final web-based, interactive plan before the end of the year.
