Six-time Grammy award-winner Randy Travis brings his Around the Bend tour to the Morgantown Event Center on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale at the Mountainlair Box Office and online at ticketmaster.com or by phone at 304-293-SHOW.

With more than 25 years on the charts, Randy Travis is one of the top selling solo country artists of all time. Having sold over 25 million albums, he has 22 No. 1 hits, six Grammy Awards, six Country Music Awards, nine Academy of Country Music Awards and 10 American Music Awards to his name. Since debuting in 1986 with the multi-platinum Storm’s of Life, Travis has gone on to release many memorable albums including Always & Forever, Old 8×10, High Lonesome, and This Is Me. His plethora of hits include favorites “Forever and Ever, Amen,” “Three Wooden Crosses,” “1982,” “Diggin’ Up Bones,” and “He Walked on Water.”

A Grand Ole Opry member since 1986, he was also honored in 2005 with a star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame. Travis is considered a pivotal figure in the country music world, and has paved the way for other successful country musicians to break into the limelight. In addition to these accomplishments, he has placed over 30 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. Of these singles, 16 have risen to the No.1 spot, and his album Always and Forever was a No.1 hit for nearly 10 consecutive months.

Travis can also be credited with helping to push traditional country music into the mainstream with his 1987 hit, “Forever and Ever, Amen” drawing in interested listeners from all over the grid. He then went on to win Grammy awards two years in a row in the Best Male Country Vocal Performance category. He was also the first country artist to release two albums simultaneously, both of which were great successes.
