Wellness Day, held as part of West Virginia University’s annual Welcome Week, is designed to help students learn about staying healthy while on campus.

On Wellness Day, held Aug. 24, students will have the opportunity to learn about the many health resources WVU has to offer.

The day’s events will be held at the Mountainlair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and at the Student Recreation Center from 4 to 6 p.m.

WELL WVU is kicking off Wellness Day by offering educational and entertaining activities to help show incoming students that living healthy is easy and fun.

Activities include students taking their turn at driving a golf cart and navigating an obstacle course while wearing drunk goggles; “Drop-A-Cop”, where women are given the chance to tackle a cop in protective gear to raise awareness of sexual assault prevention; nutrition bingo to receive free smoothies; sexual health jeopardy; and condom caravan.
