Hip-hop sensation B.o.B will bring his SHOOTiN for Stars tour to the WVU Mountainlair Ballroom on Monday, Aug. 30 at 8:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale Monday, Aug. 16 at 10 a.m. at the Mountainlair Box Office, ticketmaster.com and by phone at 304-293-SHOW and 800-745-3000.

Coming off of a whirlwind year of success, Atlanta-based rapper B.o.B (otherwise known as Bobby Ray Simmons, Jr.) has solidified a place for himself in mainstream hip-hop. The smash-hit debut single, “Nothin’ On You” featuring Bruno Mars, led to an early release of his first major label album, B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray. The critically acclaimed album landed at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200. His second single, “Airplanes,” a collaboration with Paramore lead singer Hayley Williams soared up the charts and has helped garner the rapper five nominations at the upcoming 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. With mega-star collaborations under his belt, including T.I., Rivers Cuomo of Weezer, Eminem, Janelle Mone and Lupe Fiasco, B.o.B is poised to continue taking the hip-hop world by storm.

Playboy Tre’s gift for conscious lyrics and dramatic beats has helped him gain serious notice among his peers. As a 13-year veteran of the hip-hop world and a frequent collaborator with the industry’s top guns (T.I., Nas, Method Man, Lil Jon), it wasn’t until he released the acclaimed mix tape Goodbye America and played hypeman for B.o.B that the rest of the world took note. With a desire to stay true to the narrative and unique southern sound of his craft, Tre is undoubtedly one of hip-hop’s best kept secrets.
