The West Virginia University Alumni Association is ready for football. The association is gearing up for game day celebrations at the Erickson Alumni Center.

Game day football pre-game events will be held for every home game. The events will feature unique menus for each game, entertainment and environment for Mountaineer family and friends to cheer on their alma mater.

“We are excited to continue this football tradition at the Erickson Alumni Center,” said Steve Douglas, president and chief executive officer of the WVU Alumni Association. “Last year’s events were a great success, and we can’t wait to see what this season will bring. With less than 400 yards separating our alumni center and Mountaineer Field, this venue is the perfect spot to celebrate our University, team and alumni.”

This year’s menus feature a variety of delicious items, ranging from smoked brisket sandwiches to creamy chicken gravy and biscuits. The cost for the celebrations will be $15 per game and includes entrance to the event, a game day souvenir, one boxed meal and iced tea/water.

Additionally, soda, beer and a limited cash bar will be available for purchase. Alumni and fans are encouraged to make their reservations now to ensure admittance to the event. A flyer, including the menu for each game and pricing, can be found at http://alumni.wvu.edu. For more information, please call 304-293-4731. A limited number of walk-ins will be available for purchase at a cost of $20 per ticket.

The Alumni Association is also offering special parking passes for home football games. Passes are available for purchase at the Erickson Alumni Center at a cost of $500. The cost of the pass also includes two season passes to the pre-game event.

All game day celebrations begin two-and-a-half hours prior to kickoff. Plans for away game activities are being finalized and will be announced at a later date. For more information, contact the WVU Alumni Association or visit http://alumni.wvu.edu.
