The National Association of College and University Food Services has recognized West Virginia University’s Assistant Director of Dining Services Cindy Alderson for her dedication to food service.

Alderson received the President’s Award for the mid-Atlantic region from the association at their national conference in San Jose, Calif. in early July.

The award was given to Alderson in recognition of her outstanding contributions as a dedicated member of the association, exhibiting a high degree of professionalism in the college and university food service community.

“Cindy has served in numerous capacities but, most importantly, she is a person who always does exactly the right thing and can be counted on to get things completed accurately and on time with what appears to be no effort at all. I have admired her for many years for her ongoing contributions to the association,” said mid-Atlantic President Kimberley Badinelli.

Alderson currently serves as treasurer of the association’s mid-Atlantic chapter, and is the past membership chair.
