Two West Virginia University anglers pulled six 14-pound bass out of the Potomac River to win the College Fishing Northern Division title on Saturday (June 5).

Corey Hill, a senior in criminology and investigations, and Corey Straight, a sophomore biology major, won the $10,000 prize – to be split between the University and the bass fishing club. The win also helped them advance to the Northern Division Regional Championship in North Carolina.

They secured their victory by staying close to the launch site, while other teams ventured up the river.
