Attention information technology professionals and other technologists looking for jobs: West Virginia University has a link you’ll find useful.

WVU is holding its first Technical Employment Networking Night Thursday, April 29 from 6-9 p.m. at the Erickson Alumni Center in Morgantown. The event gives job-seekers in the information technology and related fields the opportunity to meet and mingle with managers and human resources professionals from WVU.

Registering in advance is recommended but walk-ins are welcome to attend. To register, see: http://simpleforms.scripts.wvu.edu/sf/NetworkingNightRegistration/.

“We have a need for many experienced IT professionals, and we anticipate that need getting greater in the foreseeable future,” said Katrina Graham, senior technical recruiter with WVU. “We are bringing together technical hiring managers from all over campus, and talented job seekers interested in employment with WVU.”

Graham said WVU has openings for a web developer, database administrator, LAN analyst, systems engineer and more.

Participants will be eligible to win a Sony Reader Pocket Edition (a $200 value) but the winner must be present.
