West Virginia University’s Women Against Rape will sponsor a panel discussion Wednesday (April 21) to address sexual assault issues.

“What Would You Do?” will discuss preventing assault, coping with being assaulted and the legal issues related with assault. It will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Room 109 of Woodburn Hall; a Q&A session will follow the panel.

Speakers include Deb Beazley of WELL WVU, Ruth Kershner of WELL WVU, Amber Brugnoli, a former attorney, and Sgt. Peggy Runyon of the University Police Department.

The discussion is open to all WVU students.

WAR members will be in the Mountainlair between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday (April 21) to encourage students to sign up for WAR’s newsletter and give students information about sexual assault and the PROTECT self defense class.

WAR is a brand new organization at West Virginia University that aims to bring about sexual assault awareness and promote free self-defense classes offered by the University Police Department.
