The WVU Symphonic Band and the WVU Concert Band will join forces to present a spring concert at the Creative Arts Center on Tuesday, April 20.

The program begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Lyell B. Clay Concert Theatre under the direction of John Hendricks, III, Dearl J. Drury, Christopher J. Nichter, Allen P. Heath and Shou Ping Liu.

Works on the program by the WVU Concert Band include “Chorale and Shaker Dance II” by John Zdechlik, “Sure On This Shining Night” by Samuel Barber, “Prairie Dances” by David Holsinger, “Snakes!” by Thomas Duffy, “The Liberty Bell” by John Philip Sousa and “Symphonic Suite” from Star Trek by Michael Giacchino, Alexander Courage and Gene Roddenberry.

The WVU Symphonic Band will perform “Vesuvius” by Frank Ticheli, “Rhosymedre” by Ralph Vaughan Williams, “Watchman, Tell Us of the Night” by Mark Camphouse and “With Heart and Voice” by David Gillingham.
