West Virginia University students who have ever wanted to take down a University Police officer will have the chance on Wednesday, April 7.

In recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, WVU Women Against Rape have planned several events, beginning with the popular “Drop a Cop” to bring awareness to its cause.

“Drop a Cop” will take place at the Mountainlair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Students can tackle a University Police officer, sign up for the organization’s newsletter and obtain information about sexual assault and the PROTECT self-defense class.

Women Against Rape is a new organization at WVU dedicated to sexual assault awareness, and promoting the free self-defense classes offered by the University Police Department.
