The classical flute and violin recital featuring WVU music faculty Francesca Arnone and Mikylah Myers McTeer has been rescheduled for Feb. 23 at 7:30 p.m.

Their performance will take place at the Bloch Learning and Performance Hall inside the Creative Arts Center and is free and open to the public.

Arnone and McTeer will be performing “Duetto III,” by Alessandro Rolla; “Five Pieces, Op. 56, for flute, violin, and piano,” by C�sar Cui; and, post-intermission, “Musicakalisches Opfer, BWV 1079: Sonata Sopr’il Soggetto Reale,” by Johann Sebastian Bach.

WVU faculty members Lucy Mauro, piano, and William Haller, harpsichord, and William Skidmore, cello will be assisting.

Dr. Arnone earned flute performance degrees from Oberlin, the San Francisco Conservatory and the University of Miami.

She served as principal of the Boise Philharmonic for four seasons, and as piccolo of the Palm Beach Opera Orchestra since 1997.

Prior to that, she was co-principal and piccolo of the Orquesta Sinf�nica de la Universidad de Guanajuato in Mexico.

Arnone has performed with the Florida Philharmonic, the Florida West Coast Symphony, the Moscow Chamber Orchestra, the Missouri Chamber Orchestra and the Orquesta Sinf�nica de Tenerife in Spain, among others.

Dr. McTeer received a bachelor’s degree from the Oberlin College of Music and a master’s degree and doctorate from the University of Houston’s Moores School of Music.

She regularly performed with the Houston Symphony and the Houston Grand Opera, and was previously concertmaster of the San Juan Symphony and assistant professor of violin and viola at Fort Lewis College.

McTeer has performed internationally as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Italy, Germany, Austria, Slovakia and Hungary.
