West Virginia University’s Brown Bag Lunch Film and Discussion Series will show a film on racial conflict in honor of Black History Month on Thursday, Feb. 18.

“Do the Right Thing,” which was released in 1989 and directed by Spike Lee, deals with issues of racial conflict in a multi-ethnic community in Brooklyn, N.Y. during the hottest day of the summer. It will be shown from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Mountainlair’s Gluck Theatre.

The film and discussion will be presented by Michelle Johnson, secretary of WVU’s Black Law Student Association.

The event, which is sponsored by the Office of Student Life- Multicultural Programs, is free and open to the public. Pizza will be provided first-come, first-serve.
