Mountaineers have another opportunity to give their love and support to the Haitian people this Valentine’s Day weekend when the WVU College of Creative Arts presents “ArtsGive: Fundraiser for Haiti Relief.”

The show begins at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13 in the Gladys G. Davis Theatre at the CAC. It is free and open to the public.

“This variety show fundraiser will include great music, theatre, dance and art,” said theatre professor Laura Hitt, one of the organizers of ArtsGive.

“It is an opportunity to send love and money around the world during the Valentine’s Day weekend and we hope everyone will come out to enjoy the show and to help Haiti,” she added.

In partnership with WVU Dollars for Disaster, donations will be collected at the door for the Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders and other relief agencies working in Haiti.

The WVU African Drum and Dance Ensemble will perform along with a variety of cabaret acts, comedy routines, dance performances and musical presentations.

In addition, artwork by students and faculty will be auctioned off as an additional fundraising effort during the evening.
