Nancy Skolos, professor of graphic design at Rhode Island School of Design, will present a guest artist lecture at the College of Creative Arts, Thursday, Nov. 5.

Sponsored by the Division of Art and Design, the event begins at 5 p.m. in the Bloch Learning and Performance Hall (200A). It is free and open to the public.

Skolos has been a professor in the Department of Graphic Design at Rhode Island School of Design since 1989. As half of the graphic design partnership Skolos/Wedell, she is known internationally for work that integrates photography, type and design. Skolos/Wedell pieces are included in the graphic design collections of many of the world’s major museums.

Skolos and Tom Wedell have also authored the book, “Type, Image, Message: a Graphic Design Layout Workshop.”
